About
Why a pink bear?
When I was a kid, there was no money for birthday presents. One year I got a teddy bear instead. It had to stand in for the toy cars other kids had — and somehow it did. That bear became my talisman for almost my whole childhood.
I didn't always treat it gently. As teenagers, when snow buried the basketball court in the yard, we moved the game indoors: a bucket became the hoop, and the bear became the ball. It survived that too.
That bear gave this project its name — but Tedey Thomson is more than a name. It's the person I call the best version of myself: the one who remembers that something small and soft can turn out to be enough.
Music lets me be myself — not just one version of me, but every color I have. Pink is the color of my childhood, and I keep it in every melody.
